RED Productions has recently expanded into the real of film. Our first short, "Girl. Girl." is in the final stages of productions. Music videos are on the way, including "Driving in Circles" by emerging Singaporean artist Nurhayat Noor Mohamad. We are also in the process of fund-raising for "Chasing Cats", our first attempt at a feature-length production, and for "Powder My Nose", which will most likely be produced in Indonesia.

Girl. Girl. This short film focuses on two girls who are alone despite being constantly surrounded by others. They fight against family and friends to discover a feeling of individuality inside them, and eventually...each other. The film stars Jane Reily, and Shona McNeil. These two emerging young actresses have a knack for subtly illuminating the depth of the characters, thus enriching the film far beyond the director's expectations. RED plans to promote this film in festivals accross the United States and Europe, with a possible placement at the Cannes Film Festival.

Driving in Circles This song, written by Sandi Thom and Nurhayat Noor Mohamad, inspired by true-to-life ordeals, focuses on love seperated by a cultural divide. How can a Malay man and Japanese woman bridge the cultural gap to find happiness together? The video will explore ways in which to visually represent the emotions that have to dealt with in such a situation, and that are delt with in the song itself. Look for it's release with MTV Asia in the coming months.

The song itself also features Shakti MCs and DJ Dean, two of Liverpool's most exciting young free-style rappers, and well-known session guitarist from Spain, Daniel Cortez.

Chasing Cats Chasing Cats is RED's first feature-length film. Written by Artist Director Jonathon Morgan, the film will star talented Norweigen actress Katrine Kolgrov, and co-star up and coming English actors Benjamin Harvey, Kevin Kemp, Paul Stocker and Pete Howe.

Funding opportunities are currently being pursued, with hopes that filming will begin in Summer 2003.
